He had no carrot in his hand
"what's up doc" was not his call
as River made his final push
parties of the game, they had a ball

To me death seems a funny thing
as I skin great River's kill
just an exchange of energy is the truth
Beautiful Rabbit enjoyed the thrill

The food chain seems so solid yes
biology will certainly agree
I thank the forces of Mother Earth
for this beautiful Rabbit brought to me

The connection so vital between We and Her
separation just illusionary
my hands show blood, guts and fleas for sure
next time maybe he'll be less hairy

My food came not from industrial farms
no corn was fed out of line
my dinner tonight was raised on herbs
and soaked in Earth and wine

My feet are rooted firm in Her
so grateful for the love
Mother nature has such great intentions
Beautiful Rabbit shows her touch
